North’s bowling teams successfully defended the Western Reserve Conference tournament titles they won in 2024 with back-to-back championships in 2025.
“It was great,” said North coach Brian Dailey. “I was really excited for the girls this year and with the boys, we were kind of in a rebuild after we lost four starters last year, but everybody really stepped up and supported each other and worked hard to get there.”
Cadence Hensel has set the bar for the girls’ team with her 176 average. Hailey Sauric has averaged 174 pins thus far in the season, and Alexis Panzarella (169), Sydney Barzal (163), Mary Mooney (145), Kristina DiDonato (151), and Anna Spataro (119) have contributed to the team’s success.
On the boys’ side, Collin Hutson has posted a team-best 204 average with Christian Bell (183), Isaac Mills (159), Gabriele James (148), and Murphy Tanner (145) also competing for the Rangers.
North’s bowlers will now turn their attention to the sectional tournament at Wickliffe Lanes on Feb. 15.
“The way the girls are bowling, I have no doubt they can make it to districts,” Dailey said. “They’ve been working hard at it. The boys have a lot of work to do so hopefully we can get everything pulled together by then."
